A customer recently brought their car into 1Stop Motor Shop in Mallusk, Newtownabbey after experiencing loss of power while driving.

Loss of power can be caused by a wide range of engine, fuel, air intake and electrical problems, so rather than replacing parts based on the symptoms alone, we began investigating the fault properly.

After removing the intake manifold, we immediately noticed something wasn't right. Bolts were missing from several areas, suggesting the engine had previously been worked on.

Further stripping and diagnostic work revealed the main problem: the electrical plug for one of the fuel injectors had melted.
