Nissan Navara came into our Newtownabbey garage with a broken front spring. We replaced it with OE-spec parts and restored stability. Safe and roadworthy again!
At 1Stop Motor Shop in Newtownabbey, we recently had a Nissan Navara in the garage with a serious suspension issue. The customer had reported a loud clunking noise and poor handling. Upon inspection, our experienced mechanics identified the problem: a broken front coil spring on the driver’s side.
This type of issue is common with older 4x4s and pickups, especially in Northern Ireland’s variable weather conditions and on uneven roads. A broken spring not only affects your ride comfort, but also your vehicle's stability, braking, and tyre wear—making it dangerous to drive.
When the customer brought in their Nissan Navara, we completed a full suspension health check. The front spring was visibly cracked and partially collapsed—causing the Navara to sit lower on one side. The shock absorber was also showing signs of wear due to the added strain.
Our trusted Newtownabbey mechanics removed the damaged spring and fitted a brand new coil spring that matches OE specifications. We also inspected the opposite side for wear and tested the vehicle for improved handling and ride height.
With this fix, the Nissan Navara now drives as it should—level, safe, and roadworthy once again.
Ignoring a broken suspension spring can lead to:
Uneven tyre wear
Increased stopping distance
Poor handling and swaying
Additional stress on shocks and other components
At 1Stop Motor Shop, we always advise checking your suspension if you hear any knocks, or if your car sits unevenly. Better safe than sorry!
