A Tesla came into 1Stop Motor Shop Mallusk for a quick fix and the driver’s side window had slipped out of position. Our mechanics realigned and adjusted the glass for a perfect fit.
A Tesla recently came into our Mallusk workshop for a few small checks, including a misaligned driver-side front window that had moved slightly out of place.
This kind of issue is more common than people think, sometimes caused by regular use, temperature changes, or slight movement in the glass mounts over time.
After a quick inspection, we confirmed the glass hadn’t been damaged and had simply shifted within the door frame. The solution was straightforward:
Loosened the window glass mounts
Carefully realigned the glass into the correct position
Tightened the fixings and tested the movement
Ensured the window seals closed flush to prevent air or water leaks
The window now moves smoothly, seals properly, and looks as it should. A small but important adjustment that keeps the car comfortable and protected.
A misaligned window might seem minor, but it can cause:
Whistling noises from air leaks at speed
Water ingress during rain or washing
Strain on the motor and regulators
Poor sealing leading to wind noise or rattling
Fixing it early helps prevent more expensive repairs later on, especially in electric vehicles where quiet cabin performance is key.
