This week, a VW Golf R was recovered into our Mallusk garage near Newtownabbey. The issue? It simply wouldn’t start. For the customer, that meant stress, inconvenience, and uncertainty about what had gone wrong.
When a modern car like a Golf R won’t fire up, there are several possible culprits from a flat battery, to fuel delivery problems, or more complex electronic faults.
Our team began carefully working through the car’s systems to pinpoint the cause.
First, we checked the basics: battery and starter motor.
Next, we ran a full diagnostic scan to look for stored error codes.
Then, we inspected the fuel and ignition systems to see if they were doing their job.
Each step ruled out one possibility, bringing us closer to the real problem.
Right now, this VW Golf R is still under investigation. Our mechanics are determined to find the fault and get the car running again.
